Hananiah: Truly, truly, truly, even when King Cyrus had given various gifts and offerings, and released various materials, vessels and tools, which King Nebuchadnezzar ceased, he made all these things to go back to Jerusalem. But it was not all the materials, vessels and tools that were returned to Jerusalem. Himself, King Cyrus, did not know that all the materials, vessels and tools did not return to Jerusalem.

All the materials, vessels and tools which were no longer holy were removed by Prophet Daniel. Nehemiah did the same thing.

Therefore, Daniel, Nehemiah and Ezra were able to detect the unholy vessels and removed them, because the vessels were defiled. Some of the materials, vessels and tools were used by the Babylonian leaders in holding worldly parties and celebrations.

King Cyrus did not know about the screening and separation. All that he knew was that himself had given orders, and that the work of rebuilding the Jerusalem city and Temple were going on, moving forward, progressing.
